Google Business Profile Checklist for Delhi NCR Businesses

· 5 min read · By the AgencyCare team

When someone in Delhi, Noida or Gurgaon searches for a service “near me”, Google usually shows a map with three businesses before any website. Your Google Business Profile decides whether you appear there. Here is a practical checklist.

1. Claim and verify your profile

Search for your business on Google Maps. If it exists, claim it; if not, create it at google.com/business. Google will ask you to verify that you run the business, the method Google offers varies, and video verification is now common. Follow the on-screen instructions carefully and show real signage, your workspace and proof of the business when asked.

2. Get the basics exactly right

  • Business name: your real name only, adding keywords or city names can get your profile suspended.
  • Address or service area: if customers don’t visit you, hide the address and set service areas such as Delhi, Noida and Gurgaon.
  • Phone and website: use the same number that appears on your website.
  • Hours: keep them accurate, including holidays.

3. Choose the right categories

Your primary category has a big impact on which searches you appear for. Pick the most specific one that describes your core business, then add relevant secondary categories.

4. Add services and a clear description

List your main services with short descriptions. Write a plain-language business description that says what you do, who you serve and where.

5. Upload real photos regularly

Add your logo, cover photo, and real photos of your work, team and premises. Keep adding new photos every month, profiles that look active build more trust.

6. Ask for genuine reviews, and reply to all of them

Ask happy customers to leave a review, for example with a short link on WhatsApp after completing a job. Reply politely to every review, including negative ones. Don’t buy reviews, offer rewards for reviews or post fake ones: it breaks Google’s policies and can get reviews removed or your profile restricted.

7. Post updates

Use posts to share offers, new services and recent work. It keeps your profile fresh and gives customers a reason to contact you.

8. Keep your details consistent everywhere

Your business name, phone number and address should match across your website, Google profile, JustDial, IndiaMART, Facebook and other listings. Inconsistent details confuse both customers and Google.

9. Track calls and messages

Google Business Profile shows how many calls, direction requests and website clicks your profile generates. Check it monthly to see what’s working.
